Technically it was a violet crayon. But I don't really care what Crayola thinks because "purple crayon" sounds much better. Regardless of its official title, the costume was a big hit and Natalie had a blast. After getting a bunch of visits from grandparents throughout the weekend (Jean, Linda, Kent & Lee), Natalie became a pro at getting her costume on and off. I though she might hit the wall once Sunday evening rolled around but the adrenaline must have kicked in. Natalie went out trick-or-treating on multiple trips with each of her parents and seems to have everything down pat when it comes to this holiday's protocol. She's already making plans for next year when Henry can partake in more of the festivities. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

MEA -- Many Extraordinary Adventures
As a student, I really didn't know that teachers love MEA even more than kids do. But it's true. This year, with the stress my job puts me under, MEA was one of the best weekends I've had in quite some time. Joey, Natalie, Henry and I headed to the cabin after a lazy Thursday morning. Joey raked all the leaves into a leaf pile big enough to bury anyone at the cabin, and we enjoyed 65-degree weather on Friday. We came home Saturday afternoon and spent Sunday at the Shaw's Pumpkin Carving party. So much relaxing, so much progress on my crossword puzzle skills, and much needed time spent with my little family. My heart is awaiting Thanksgiving break!

Fall Fishing Wonders
We made it up to the cabin with both sets of grandparents this weekend, which was nice for Natalie because she had plenty of playmates! Natalie also showed all the guys up, as Grandpa Kent, Grandpa Craig and Joey spent hours on the lake Saturday afternoon, while she caught 5 fish off the dock, including her first BASS! Joey did manage a 17 1/2 inch bass Sunday morning though, which we put back for next summer when it will be much larger! The leaves were beautiful, and the company was perfect. Back to reality now ...

Spencers visiting
Natalie has enjoyed catching up with Annika and Baby Brooke, who isn't much of a baby anymore with her standing, stepping and all! The girls visited us on Saturday with Grandma Lee & Grandpa Kent, then we went over to Bloomington on Sunday to see everyone (including Matt, Amber and the Greats). Double the kids = Double the fun!

2 month update
Our little boy has doubled in size since we brought him home. Joey took him in for his 2-month check yesterday and he weighed in at 11 pounds 2 ounces -- and 24 inches long! In fact, it was so cool last night I tried to find feety pajamas for Henry to wear and had to put him in this 6-month outfit. The 3-month ones we never even used and he's too long for them now! WOW!
