Seattle Day One

Well, we made it. We were blessed to sit next to a woman named Kate from Ohio who was on her way to see her year-old grandson in Seattle. Thank God for grandma's everywhere, Natalie managed to spill all my ginger ale on Kate and she laughed about it and still played with my little rugrat. She even held her when I had to go to the bathroom! Natalie was great on the flight -- she was fussy once only because she couldn't get comfortable for her nap.
The time change is throwing us off. She should have napped two hours and nursed by now, but she has done neither. I put her down for a nap (two hours late) and she was not having it. She wants to play with her cousin! That and I'm sure she misses her daddy.

Testing ... 1,2

So we finally have all the equipment needed to put our video on a computer. I'm going to give this a shot, this is this morning's antics. Natalie is trying really hard to start crawling. Maybe she'll be crawling by Thursday so she can show her cousin Annika how it works! The clip's a little long, but whatever, she's cute.

2 x 3

We officially are a dual triathalon family!

Sarah and I completed the Lifetime Triathalon (short course) this morning. Sarah managed to survive the bike during her inaugural attempt, and I was able to move up to "above .500" in my age group (finishing a respectable 30 of 71 males ages 25-29). I'm so pround of my wife, and she had a great time (yes, I'm now married to a marathoner/triathlete!).

Thanks much to Grandma and Grandpa G (notably Grandpa G, who flew solo for a while) for chillin' with NGG -- sounds like she had fun!

Guitar Hero?

I now know she is a full-fledged Gustafson. She's ready for the next family wedding when "Heart of Rock N Roll" is played -- she'll fit right in with grandpa Craig's air-sax.
Hey Rachel, is this what your guitar lessons look like?

Cheers to Sarah!!!

My wife is the newest member of the Richfield High School English Department. I knew I had a good feeling about this job opening all along.... WAY TO GO SARAH!!!!!

Taste This!

WHAT? Mom and dad get to eat at the Taste of Minnesota with Katie Menschner and I have to eat THIS? This is stupid!

Up North

Natalie and I went up to visit great grandma on Tuesday. Tuesday was 90 and sunny, but we got up there too late to swim. Mommy's cousin Erin came over to meet Natalie. Then Wednesday is was 65 and windy so Natalie didn't even get to spend time outside, save a few minutes down by the lake. Quite the bummer. But great grandma got to play with her, hold her and rock her, so it was a good trip. We left Wednesday night around 9 because I figured Natalie would sleep the whole way -- which she did! This picture isn't the greatest, grandma and I forgot to take pics all day so this was last minute before getting into the car -- serious Natalie was anxious to go to sleep.
