After-shot

Natalie has a bit of a low-grade fever, which isn't surprising following her round of shots yesterday morning. Mommy is doing her best to nurse her back to health with lots of hugs!

Breakin' All The Drools

Natalie is enjoying her Sunday morning (despite what the photo may suggest).

She is looking forward to a relaxing day, which is in order following a busy Saturday. Natalie saw all of her grandparents yesterday, which was fun. Grandma Linda watched her while Mom, Dad and the Minnesota Aunts ran the frozen Get-In-Gear 10K (we all survived!). Then it was on to Tootie's for burgers with everyone (including Grandpa Craig, Uncle Jeff, Emilia and Evelyn), followed by some time on the couch (correcting papers with Mom). Then it was a journey to Bloomington to see Grandpa Kent & Grandma Lee, where she got to meet her new cousin via web chat!

Natalie is hoping for improved weather, so she can log some miles on her stroller. Yesterday she told us she wants to see what Lake Calhoun is all about, so hopefully the weather cooperates soon!

Annika Joye Spencer

Congrats to Matt & Amber on their cutie, who was born at 12:08 a.m. today in Seattle! A few minutes earlier and she would have had to share her birthday with Hitler, which would have sucked. So instead it's Tony Danza -- yay!

Waiting is the hardest part

Natalie has been very difficult today, no doubt because she is eager for news out of Seattle. That's right, Natalie should graduate from overall "baby" status soon because Amber is in labor as we speak (or as I type).

Our little girl did take time out of her fussy day to watch a little Twins action!

Busy, Busy

Natalie had an amazingly busy weekend, going to a funeral for great-great uncle Gus on Saturday where she got to see her grandpa give an amazing eulogy. Then Sunday she and I went to cousin Molly's baby shower -- she's expecting a baby girl on June 9. Natalie was passed around so much, I had to keep tabs on her. Right after that, we picked up daddy and went to an open house for my high school coach who was named to the hall of fame. She was in bed by 7:30 Sunday night. I'm not so sure she's feeling well though, she's been really fussy and stuff for a day or two. Hopefully she didn't get the flu that was going around her daycare last week! It was in the high 60s today so we brought out the sun hat! She's so cute it hurts!

Food Time!

Natalie tried "real food" for the first time today: A little rice cereal. Though she wasn't thrilled at first, the little lady seemed to pick up on the process in a hurry.

Hopefully Day 2 goes even a little better!

Busy Day!

Well first, Natalie made her debut as the Washburn Track and Field mascot by coming to practice with me this morning. She was a hit, smiling and talking to people. Then after a quick trip home for some lunch, she was babysat by Emilia and Auntie Alana while I went to the doc. Turns out I need to get my gall bladder removed so surgery is on the horizon. Enough about me, Natalie bummed Emilia out a little by taking a nap during their time together, but E took out a bunch of toys for Natalie to play with. She's such a good babysitter. So much so that she's going to watch Natalie again tomorrow morning while I take my kids on a run around Harriet -- thank goodness for warm weather melting away the white yucky stuff! She's so tuckered out she napped a lot today and she's still down for bed by 8! The journalist in me must give a photo credit to Alana for the picture! Cute huh? Natalie got to see daddy for a little while before he went to the Twins game with Uncle Carl. She always smiles so big when daddy's around!
