First Ponytail!

Natalie's hair grows like her mommy's -- really, really fast! The other day I was able to put it in a ponytail, and have to share the pics because she's so darn cute. Last night we went to Alex and Heather's wedding, congrats guys!

Cabin Adventures

Natalie's been to the cabin multiple times, but this is the first time she's been there when it was warm outside and she is walking. It's a whole different world to her! She discovered a sandbox which she loved. She got so dirty -- it's amazing how many places sand can go on a body! She also got to put her Christmas present to use -- her swing! That was the first thing we did each morning. She wasn't so sure of the boat because of the life jacket, but by the third time we went out she was starting to deal with it. She even drove the boat a little! We got home today, headed to Emilia and Evelyn's baptism and had Grandpa Kent over for dinner. Happy Father's day to all the dad's out there.

Week One

Well, Natalie and I are officially home for the summer! I'm still trying to find a job for next year, so it hasn't been as carefree as we'd like. But we're having fun. It's only been a week and we've spent a ton of time at the park, and she even helped me weed the garden yesterday. Last weekend, Grandma and Grandpa Heaner watched Natalie while we went to Joanie and Chad's wedding. She got to reconnect with "The Greats" and they had fun seeing her. She's quite the entertainer! We head up to the cabin tomorrow, so there will be plenty of pics at the end of that mini vacation!

We be clubbin'

Wow, what a busy day so far! The family headed to the driving range so Mom could get a few whacks in before the year-end golf outing for RHS staffers. Natalie enjoyed her time there, especially when the range pro gave us a ride in the golf cart! After getting home we managed to wash all of our windows inside & out (including the storms). That was a pain in the butt, but man do they look clean! Mom is now knee-deep in the back yard digging out her vegetable garden. I can taste the carrots already. We're off to Calhoun soon (if we don't drop dead of exhaustion first).

Happy Memorial Day!

A lost art

Hope you like this picture. It isn't that great, I know, but for some reason we thought we left the camera at Cub Foods (who brings a camera to Cub to begin with?). So this evening has been filled with not only a trip to Cub but a trip back to try and find the camera along with a massive search of the entire house. Good times. For the record, the camera was in the basement (where I tossed it while bringing the water softener salt downstairs). By the way, my girls are doing well -- very giggly, and both of them are walking all over the place like a big girl!

17 Months

Natalie celebrated her 17-month birthday by walking all by herself multiple times. When I walked into daycare to pick her up she walked right over to me as if she's been doing it for months. Then after some convincing, we had her do it for the camera. Joey considers her "walking" now, but I'm not holding my breath. Unless it's for food or something else really cool, she won't do it. But hey, it's something! And it's so cute!
