Off to a great weekend

We've already learned so much this weekend. Sweet potatoes induce a temper tantrum like never seen before and grandma and grandpa Heaner are very photogenic! Our little family ventured to G&G Heaner's for dinner Saturday night and we were able to talk to Matt and Amber and little Annika via webcam. Very cool. Annika is adorable and I can't wait to meet her on Thursday! WOO HOO! Everyone think positive thoughts that the flight Wednesday night will go off without a hitch for mama Amber and baby. Today we did some planting and other yard stuff and we're off to Kate's for dinner. Apparently when you have a baby, long weekend means hit up as much family as possible! We'll probably hang with the Ericksons tomorrow. Natalie hasn't been doted on by Emilia and Evelyn in a while, it's due. Here's to hoping your weekend is long, sunny, and relaxing!

It's official!

We went to the doctor this morning and her ear infections are officially gone! YAY! There is a chance that she'll get them again. Apparently kids who start getting ear infections when they're younger than 6 months old are more likely to have more problems with them. But the doc said that since I never got them and Joey never really did either, that helps her chances. So we're going to hope this was a fluke! She started trying to put her foot in her mouth this morning for the first time that I've seen, so that's cool! She's so funny. She's almost sitting, drooling like a champion and laughing a lot.
p.s. Thanks grandma G for watching her so daddy and I could take in a Twins game, they got killed, but it was a good Dome Dog! =)

Oh No!

So, Natalie is starting to feel better. She actually started eating again, which is a relief to her parents who didn't know how to deal with the screaming hungry child who can't eat because it hurts her. But, now Daddy is home sick. =( He has a little stomach bug, so please think good thoughts so he can get better quickly!

Natalie currently is sleeping peacefully. Here fever is down, but you can tell she's still not feeling great. Hopefully she continues to improve...

Mother's Day Eve

Natalie and I had our first mini sleepover this morning. Of course she woke up right when I went to get the camera. She woke up like usual at 6:30 but I was super tired. Joey wasn't home, so I brought her to bed with me and she "slept like a baby." It was pretty cute, and I'm hoping this will be the first of many girls' night slumber parties. It was a nice way to kick off Mother's Day weekend.

Ahhh, a weekend

Look, Natalie can almost sit by herself! She's getting so big! I'm really looking forward to this weekend, I have nothing to do -- no track, no plans with friends, nothing. So it's going to be a weekend full of Natalie! I'm pretty excited. She's feeling back to normal for the first time in a few weeks. She battled the stomach flu (not pretty) then was feeling a little better before we took her in for her shots. It took a couple days to feel better after the shots. But today, our smiley, laughing baby was back! She's fascinated by her fingers lately, it's just a matter of time untiil she discovers her toes. I only have one month of school left and then it's a mommy and me summer for Natalie! I'm so excited. The lack of a job for next year sheds some shadows on the upcoming summer, but I'm trying to stay positive and enjoy the gifts I have in my life! As soon as she sits by herself, Joey and I will post a big picture of our big girl!
